    • Wow! What a great collection of Burton shots. The picture of the old Missionary Children's home is just stunning. What an amazing building; I can't believe anyone would tear it down. As for "Burton (closer look) ca1908", I can see the Waterman Building, which I think was a Woodmen of the World meeting hall at the time. North of that...hmmm. That's where the Shell station is today, and I know there was some sort of wooden building with a garage business there before. And there's the Burton Church. Thanks for posting those photos. It makes me sad to think how much brilliant architecture has been lost to fires and bad development decisions. Cheers! ned

    • Wonderful collection of photos Amy. I was very interested to see all of the ones connected to your family, and also to mine. Some of my Yates family lived at Pacific Beach and Moclips during the 1940's. A little later than the era of your photos, but I like seeing just how it looked "way back when". Thanks! Carol W.
