What a complete thrill to find this site. The best years of my life were at VGU. So much promise and hope for life. So much talent in such a small space, students and instructors alike. My business partner graduated from Mass Art in '76. She says that although she got the diploma, I got the education. I was lucky enough to get my transcripts before they were destroyed, but Salem State questioned their validity, because they weren't from a Vesper George faculty member...

I attended Vesper George from 1969 to 1971. What wonderful memories! Have lost touch with everyone. I was delighted to find this site, never thought of even searching... Is anyone out there that graduated in 1971? I believe there were only about 35 that graduated. I remember people but just not their names! I remember Mr. Brady saying in the first days of class Its a dog eat dog world out there. Still chuckle when I think of it! Would love to hear from anyone! I was a Vesper George graduate in 1973 what a wonderful time in my life. One day we had to design a wallpaper and bring it in to class the following week, a student brought his in and said he had drawn it. It turned out to be a design Mr. Brady had developed in the 60's, Talk about egg on your face. Lanny

All myvesper memories are treasured. Arthur and his lunch truck, Bob Hunter nad the countless tripsto the MFA (especially to the CHARDIN exhibit), Mr. Brady who could draw a perfect circle o nthe board. Wendy, Corey, Tom, Dave, Barry, Cheri, Kathleen, Dianne, everyone-where are you now? REcently went into the Guild of Boston Artist. The wonderful aroma of oil paint pleasured my nose-just like a time machine-who was on duty in the Guild that day? Non other than Robert Cormier, the man who taugth us so much about watercolors. He graciously took a lot of time remembering old stories and showing us work he was doing - it was a great visit!

One memory I'll never forget: going over to inspect the excavation for the future Prudential building, and seeing a dead man afloat the water! My introduction to the mean streets of Boston!
