Thanks! AFter you go through the canal, turn around and go back, you will stop in Colon. I think it is only for a very short time. The only place you can go is right there on the pier. It is setup in a large warehouse. I never did see those baskets again. Someone at my table bought one on her tour but I never did see them. She got a small purse on a string and paid $10 for it!!!! It could have been in Costa Rica. Oh,when you get to Costa Rica, most people will be meeting someone at the pier, however, there is a bunch of shops about 300 yards from the pier. I went in there quickly because we were meeting Oscar. I bought a very nice necklace. The best stalls were right there when you enter and to the left. I regret that I did not have time to go back there. There were a few good vendors in the front. Hope this helps....Have fun! Make sure you take lots of memory sticks and a battery charge. Claudia
