Album Description:
These are my personal favorite "portraits" - usually just snapped as we walked along or drove by. A few are "posed" but I most enjoy a high quality, spontaneous image. Which one(s) do you like best? Please use guestbook.

You seem to have a real knack for winning people over, a real gift in portrait photography! Have to be careful on the narratives though, Webshots seems incapable of translating so much of what we take for granted - especially apostrophes!

Hi My favorite portrait is "Hint of a smile". My email is gerrysartinspirations@net zero.net I am a wannabe artist, just beginning over after being away from the canvas for 15 years. My forte was flowers, I hope one day to be able to paint flowers as vibrantly as you photograph them, they are beautiful. Sincerely, Gerry

Hi Pat! Loved your portraits. I like them too to be spontaneous. Did your number of views also decrease with some 60% in the last couple of weeks? Andybandi's no of views decreased with the same percentage as well as the views of a couple of friends of mine.. I asked Webshots if and how they changed the system, but they keep telling nothing has changed.... Greetings Anna

What incredible faces! You really did an incredible job capturiing character in people. Would love to have the chance to go there and see if I could do as well as you. Tighten up on the close ups and do more off angles instead of straight forward shots. I am looking forward to seeing more of your work. wmcaroline louisiana USA.

A smart idea to create an album with portraits. You managed to take pictures of interesting faces without loosing the characteristics. Well done. Cheers, Strobelix

I truly enjoyed your portraits, but especially the Happy Vietnamese Lady. In fact, I liked it so much that I did a graphite sketch based on your photo. You can see it along with others at http://community.webshots.com/user/barnchaser. I'm looking for additional photos of interesting faces as I develop my skills in this medium. Thanks for sharing!

The faces of the orphans are nearly more than one can bear....to know they have no one. Vietnam must be a very interesting place....I would love to see it for real, but your photos are great...thank you.

Some of the best facial photos that I have seen in a while. I look at what is being conveyed in the face and body in terms of presence, and these photos have some wonderful messages. Thank you for sharing them. I will be back for a visit. I think that I would like to use one of them for a poem if that is o.k.? benlames

A couple of things that would give you more pleasure in your portraits: All your subjects are dead center in your frames. Rule of thirds would help. Secondly, don't be afraid to ZOOM IN TIGHT on some of those faces that interest you. I like your work & am jealous of your traveling opportunities. John, South Carolina

Astounding faces! A few touristy shots, but most of this album you could blow up, frame and sell as commercial quality stuff. Nice work.
