  • Hi, I am Austin Jennings daughter, youngest son of Charles Wm. Jennings and Olive May Vaught. They had a farm in Happy Creek on the Shenandoah River from about 1920 till the 50's.   • I'm doing my family tree,my GGGGG Grandmother was Betsey Te Las Sha SKE.You said you had a photo reprint of the Census of Cherokees in 1835. Is there any way I could get a copy of it?   • Dale: I am the son of Mabel (Updike) Selby. Her father was John E. Updike, born 1870 in Trumansburg, NY to Schyuler and Mary (Rosling) Updike. For some reason no one shows him belonging to Schyuler. Probably because Schyuler and Mary Ann divorced in 1882, and Mary Ann and John E. went to Mich. to live with her parents. Then moved to NE, where Mary Ann married Irvin Childs. My grandfather John E., married Nellie Schwartz in Dundy County in 1895. They had five children, Lucy, Irvin, Mabel, LaVern and Florence. All are deceased. I wonder how we can update your Rootsweb on the Updikes's? I have found that the 1880 census in Mich. shows Schyuler, Mary Ann and John living with her parents. vernon B.   • Very nice web site. My aunt and uncle are Lillian (nee Bergman) and Dwayne (Duane) Updyke from Apalachin New York. Their family just went to the Updyke family reunion and had a wonderful time. I know my cousins are very proud of their heritage, as they should be, I only wish my uncle were still living to see his ancestry. Keep up the great work!
