• Hi Jill! Thanks a lot for your kindly words about my photos. By the way I've just post a new album - "Wonderful world". I'll be very happy if you visit it. Warmest regards - Ljubomira (from Bulgaria)

 • Hello Jill! Wonderful Birches! We love these elegant trees with their silver barks. Without leaves, they become more apparent and look so beautiful with the blue sky as background! Thanks for your very nice words in our Basque Coast Album (oertlif_3)! Since these vacations we haven't been much on our computer: it had two breakdowns! All (nearly all...) seems to be ok now. Love and hugs, Henri and Käthi,

 • Hi Jill, I enjoyed your walk too. It's wonderful to have company on walks in the woods and fields. I enjoyed your captions as well as I strolled along. Beautiful photos. I love the birches. They are among my favorite trees. We have them as well north of Lake Ontario in the U.S. Thank you for sharing your stroll. Take care, Ray

 • Hi Jill, this continues to be a super album. Your photos are great for a person who's crazy enough to be out walking in the woods in winter. But then I forget you are in England and not here in Minnesota, trying to walk in the woods. Great photos, my friend. Sharon

 • Like the ice crystals on the moss. I have a book about snowflakes and the first photographer that learned how to capture them on camera. Thank you for sharing this photo with us. I'd heard about boxing day but don't know much about it. Thank you for sharing this album with us.

 • Hi Jill, sorry it took awhile to answer your guestbook entry you put in Caitie’s album. So much happened. In January both my parents have been in and out of the hospital, lots of visits and travelling to and from, but luckily everything turned out well. Their move is not realized yet, their new home is not finished yet, we expected that to be around June. We hope that we have them settled in towards end of June, begin of July. Now to come to your new additions to this fine album. You have had some marvellous weather March 1, we had lots of snow falling. I measured some 17 cm! It is so nice to walk in the woods on the first days of Spring. It gives a feeling of becoming alive again. I like the pictures of the fallen tree (55, 63) very much. Also the reflections in the pond make fantastic pictures. We do like to see and love the same beauties in nature! Thanks for your entry in Caitie’s album. The little ones are doing fine, Dodo, Dobbel, Chanel and Casanova have been picked up by their new owners. Maybe in the future Casanova is able to set forth the line as well as his brother Chico. They also fit in well in their groups, no problems at all. Sometimes Cheyenne asks too much attention of Brianna, which has resulted in a ripped ear of Cheyenne. But she isn’t bothered by that and each time goes back to Brianna. I have recently made new photos of them. And will put them in the album soon. Loved to hear from you, Jill. Have a nice weekend! Friendly yours, Els

 • Hi Jill and I wasn't able to stay around this evening for a chat I'm afraid. Thanks for the two GBs in Kingdom of the Karri and Through a forest to the Ocean. They were indeed great trips that fully lived up to all our expectations. We did another one later in the week at Albany - it was absolutely brilliant but didn't lend itself quite so well to photos. I took some anyway which I'll get round to in a week or so. Hope you are keeping well - we are suffering very hot days and nights right now but it's to be expected. Catch you later, love and hugs, Peter

 • Hi Jill, love the new additions especially #65.But i think #70 is my favourite,Silver Birches always remind me of my childhood. That skylight filter is cool, think i have one of those somewhere, must look for it.We get little piles of feathers in the garden when the Sparrowhawk is about :-( Hope you are feeling ok,as you have gone a bit quiet the last couple of days!Love,Angela.

 • Hi Jill, everything is a bit topsy tervey, I have only seen this updated album in the last hour, never mind got here eventually,I find the wood very peaceful and queit at this time of the year but yesterday the birds were beginning to sing in the sunshine, so it must be a good sign, as long as any passing Sparrowhawks are not about, some nice additons and now is the time for coppicing and pollarding, two good woodland words there, take care and I hope you feel a bit better, Ken Hugs and squirrels

 • Hi Jill, Not sure what happend to the last message but I think this album is so nice with all variety of different seasons. Even if somewhere is familiar to you it always changes with the weather and seasons. I'm planning my next expedition for 4-8th May and probably might get a chance to meet Helmut if I stop walking long enough. Regards Chris

 • Hi Jill, Lovely additional photos to this album. It's great to have a record of the changing seasons even when a place is so familiar, what would we do without the seasons? We will be in the Lakes 8-15th April and then I will be planning my next solo expendition for 4-8th May. I'll keep in in touch. Regards Chris

 • Hi Jill and I see you are still tramping through those woods - you must know almost every square inch of them by now! Beautiful photos as always and it's great to see how this album is growing. Thanks for the welcome back message and as you can imagine I am now busy sorting my way through about a thousand photos! Most of which will be revealed in the fullness of time! Catch you later. Love and hugs, Peter

 • Hi Jill. Just to let you know how much I have enjoyed my walk in the woods with you, with ref. to your January and February photos. Lots of information which I always enjoy reading. You are the nature expert! Your ice crystal shots are excellent as is your photo of the Blue Tit #34, but the shot that I liked most was of the 'Hazel Catkins'. That was outstanding Jill. Well done to you!! It's still bitterly cold in the Midlands, brrr.... Guess spring is a few weeks away yet. Luv n'hugs, Jayne xx

 • Hello Jill, have to say this is a lovely album. The tree photos are superb, I am always on look out of interesting trees, my pc is full of them waiting their time! We had a boxing day walk up in Derbyshire woods but raining up there so did not get any good photos, but 3 weeks later on another visit to daughters found some crackers. Out & about round here in Norfolk whenever it is fine, last saturday in the woods was great lots sunshine, no goldcrests unfortunately but did find a nice goldfinch. Take care. Eric

 • Hi Jill. Don't know why but we seem to be missing catching each other on Messenger these days. Yahoo is messing me around so I must confess I dont use it much nowadays. These are nice additions and it is certainly different to see all those trees devoid of their usual foliage - the surprising thing is that is does make for some very unusual and interesting photos, which you have captured very well. We are going away for about 10 days as from Monday do I'll keep an eye out for you before we go. Love and hugs, Peter

 • Hi dear Jill, you've had the opportunity to get out into your beloved wood - good for you! I'm hoping that means your head is feeling better and the 'cobwebs' are gone! We're chilly here today; it never got above 48F. It would be good for a walk in the woods but we don't have any nearby. It's a good day for Olympic sports on TV! Husg, Judy

 • Hi Jill, thank you for you lovely message. I always think now I am free for doing what I want - and very quickly find myself again running after the lost time. I am so happy I found this album. The cover picture is gorgeous! I like your views at the hidden beauties of nature! The iced weed is one of those too; and the wasp's nest, the oaks in pic #8, the great view at the edge of the woods. Your close-ups are brilliant and crystal clear some of them like microscopic views. Photography shows amazing things! That little tit in pic #34 enlightens the picture and my day too. We had today 70 mm of rain. . . .! And at last I enjoyed to see your beautiful family, especially #2. What a shot! Everyone is smiling! Jill, it is always a pleasure to visit here! Have a wonderful day! - Galit from Israel

 • Nice additions Jill and that sure was one very cold morning. Very nice to see though, especially when it is quite hot at this end. I often wonder about people who say they don't take photos in winter because there is nothing there to take - you have certainly given the lie to that. Nice work, Hugs, Peter

 • Hello Jill! We love your new additions! Indeed, we are enjoying the same nature wonders in little details! But also the hoarfrost in your global views is so beautiful (pictures 26 and 29!) It seems you have very low teperatures, too! Thanks for your nice messages in our hoarfrost album! Love and hugs, Henri and Käthi

I'm off to spend the day with a newly widowed friend (1 wk ago today), will take my camera, but not sure I'll have a chance to use it. Have a good day ... Hugs, Judy

 • This is a great little album Jill and so good to see you all together as a family - precious moments to treasure and I suspect that the cover shot will be printed out, framed and hung up in a prominent spot somewhere in your house. I also loved the mpeg by the way and hope you were able to get my entry in your guest book for that. I must say you were all extremely well in tune and will assume that the wine was a factor in that production! Whatever, it was very well done and you are certainly making full use of the features on your camera. Best wishes to you all for 2006, love and hugs, Peter

 • Hi Jill, What fun walking with you and your family through the woods. Are you crazy out there walking in the cold???????? I'm a warm weather walker, so have to wait until May or so, to walk outside. I love the Fuji photos. Your Macros are better than mine. We are expecting snow, just like you. 4 inches or more. Great shots dear lady. Love the photos. Sharon the crazy lady.

We are astonished that you still fond fungi! The wasp nest is cute, like an animal climbing on a branch... The "Edge of the wood" is a especially nice picture! Best wishes also to you! • Can I REALLY be first to comment on your 'Boxing day walk'??? Isn't it fantastic to get out in the wood for some fresh air and exercise to walk off the Christmas pudding? Our Christmas day was quite different in that we had to abandon the long sleeves and find something less warm to wear; it heated up to around 75F in the afternoon! Enjoy your week and have a very Happy New Year. ... Warm Florida hugs, Judy
