    • Hey Bob! I live waaay out in the tall timber of Central Oregon at the base of the Cascade mountains. Our elevation is 4250'..so you get the effect that you could literally 'pluck' the stars out of the sky because they look so close and clear...no light pollution here either. I have a 10" Schmidt-Cassegrean..and never put serious thought to building my own observatory until I saw your album! Man now I am pumped! Thank you for sharing and motivating me!.now my wife will become an 'astronomer's widow. Astrophotography here we go!! If you start anything new..treat us all to some new photos! thanks Bob..Mike Swift in LaPine, OR.
