What wonderful pieces of art, must stay cold for along time for all of them to hold their shape. Down here in Southern California, we have our Sandcastle days, and those sculpers are wonderful to. Amazing what people can do when they set their mind to it.

Cher Marielle Its sometime since I last left a comment to your albuns. Today, I wanto to congratulate for this album The subject is fantastic, I had no idea that you celebrate Carnival in Quebec,. I thought it was just apart from Brazil and Venice, a dying tradition in most places in Portugal and other European countries, The sculptures are fantastic. I am looking forward to see the finalised work of the international contest of what you just showed us the half done work. The pictures, themselves are also good. Ma chère Marielle, celui-ci c'est un album très froid mais très beau et intéressant. Et j'admire encore plus les artistes et toutes les personnes engagées dans cet événement, parce que je me sens gelée seulement de penser à être autant des heures dans la rue avec les températures qui vous avez dans cette époque de l'année. A place full of joy and very lively! The Japanese have a famous international Winter Festival every February in Sapporo, the northern island of Hokkaido. Of course there is a Canadian team who participates as well. I must say that in Sapporo the sculptures tend to be on the grand scale, very impressive! Well, my husband is a native of Hokkaido and he managed to see in his youth the famous celebration, I never did beacuse I hate cold weather.Thank you for bringing to us the atmosphere of this winter festival in Quebec!Fondly, Gabriela
