  • Thanks :o) Actually the place is quite expensive :o( But the photo opportunities are awesome :o) It's a private zoo that carries on various repopulation programs. There is no free entry, you have to book and pay. but you can get much closer to the guests and there's no crowd :o) Ciao! Roberto

  • Wonderful pictures of Lake Tahoe! The plants, mountains, lake and cabins are great. How neat to see the hummingbird in action! I've downloaded 4 pictures to my desktop so I can enjoy the views. My family home is Redding CA, my dad was in the forestry business and took us all over the area, and my brother lives in Sparks,NV. so it's like home to me. (I'm in Georgia now). You might consider a photo session next year that illustrates the regenaration of plants, and the return of any creatures in areas, including Plumas County, ravaged by fire this year. I bet you could photograph a top-notch series of pictures and contrast it's present starkness with the hope of new beginnings. Being the forester he was, my dad always took us on sidetrips to see nature at work in ravaged areas. It's something that's not well understood, even in the swamps of South Georgia that were recently on fire. Remember, a picture conveys what the spoken or written word can not always convey. Finally, I hope you, your family, and friends were spared any destruction from the recent fires.

  • Hi Pam. I notice the difference with Photoshop. I put all my pictures in that program after I get them in the computer.
