    • THutchins, I found the service hole covers at a local RV dealer with a parts department. They are, more or less, universal. Not too hard to find. Can probably order them online easily too. I believe Camping World also carries them, but you may pay more.

    • Great job on the rebuild. Please tell me where you bought the service hole covers. I just found a 1982 Starcraft Starmaster for a really good price and I'm having problems finding replacement parts. Thanks for all the info you have provided.

    • Aaron, I actually did not paint the outside at all. It was in good shape. Since the corrugated metal is aluminum, it doesn't rust. It could use a wax/buff job, but I couldn't get that far. Might do it this winter in the garage or something. What you see is how the outside looked from beginning to end, except for the roof. The roof looks whiter after I "painted" it with roof sealer.

    • Long story short, we were given a camper by someone. My friend Stephen and I gutted the thing and started all over, since there was extensive wood rot. Also, the inside was painted black, and I wanted to brighten it up a bit. It has taken a year, but what a difference. We refloored it, new cabinets, new paint, new plumbing, new cable system, new wiring, new tires, new gas lines. Looks old on the outside, but new on the inside.
