I was stationed while on TDY in 1966. I rented a house in Rodalban. Remember the old "hidden" Nazi ammo bunkers built in the rock? The Rose Festival in Zweibrucken, and of course the old Siegfried line. Not only post in Muenchweiler closed, but by 1994 (the last time I visited Germany) every post I was stationed at is no more - Schwaebish Hall, Erlangen, Bad Hersfeld and Bad Tolz. At least Kaiserslautern (Ramstein AFB) is still bustling. E-mail me if you wish to converse - majorhhi@hargray.com.

I was stationed in fischbach with the 165th from january 78 to april 79. I'm sad to see it closed. Made many good friends while I was there.
