  • I grew up in SWMN in the 60's & 70's. We would occasionally drive by the site (especially when I started going to college in Marshall) & remember it was was always a bit chilling- the base was abandoned but some signs and buildings were still in place. The dorms were still in place but were basically hollow shells. It is amazing how today there is no sign that it ever existed- just a big field. I had gotten to the point that I was beginning to think I was imagining the whole thing. Thanks for the photos!
