The combined Community Groups of West Southampton are running another giant festival towards the end of May 2011. We had around 6000 people attend each year we have run it. Held on a little known but huge 8 acre "disused" field behind St Marks School, on Shirley Rd. We want and need businesses, shops, groups to get involved and build something bigger and better for all the Community(with a capital C). Music, Dance, information, shows, displays, games, food, drink, entertainers, picnics, games, sport, art, local clubs, societies, shops, friends, schools and colleges, etc. etc. We had sponsors and grants in the last events which funded stages and PA and toilets. We had MPs, MEPS, Mayors, Councillors and stars. We had local media live on the day. We had gifts or loans of food, drink, generators, tents, fire extinguishers, tables and chairs and publicity and lots of helping teams. WE had a REALLY GREAT TIME and all to help others to help us to help others more. We are a non-profit Community Association and we need help from others. Is that YOU? Can you help and more importantly will you help? You will feel good and may even get something good in return..... publicity, pride, friends and a huge smile seeing hundreds of families being outside and playing. www.festival.vibert.co.uk is a taster.
