I enjoy clematis. I'm collecting a few varieties, hopefully they'll stay long enough and be as old as yours - it's such a wonder that they can lasts this long.

I have heard that the roots should be in the shade and the plant in the sun. I have planted hens and chicks over top of my clematis roots. It serves the same purpose.
