Album Info:
The Buffalo National River originates in the Boston Mountains division of the Ozarks Plateau and was America's first national river. The river descends nearly 2,000 feet through layers of sandstone, limestone, and chert resulting in some of the highest bluffs in the Ozarks. It is roughly 135 miles long and includes nearly 95,000 acres of public land. Canoeing is a popular activity along the river especially in the spring. The above photo was taken at the Pruitt Ranger Station.
