Age: 5 Years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 49 lbs. Variety: Field-Bred Toby, Toby, Toby has eyes like buttons and front feet that turn out, this guy’s a real lover, a family man - no doubt! Toby is a very sweet boy that came to us from a shelter with the sad comment from his owner, “No time for this dog"... Toby tries so hard to please! He is housetrained,, invisible fence trained, and rides so quietly in the car, you could almost forget that he is there, except for the occasional kisses he gives from the back seat. He gets along well with dogs and has done well with children too. He is not good with the cat as he prefers to hunt him, as he would any small animal. He gets excited when he goes for a walk and will pull on the leash until he is reminded to heal, which he can do very well. He can have a big dog bark (he has not barked much since his first week here) that he uses to greet other dogs and visitors to the house that quickly turn into wiggles once he is petted or allowed to sniff his canine guests. He loves to nibble on your fingers (no teeth used!) when he is feeling silly. Though he does not get up on the furniture, he does love to snuggle at the foot of the bed at night. He shares our lap from time to time while we watch TV and is careful not to wiggle at all, lest we ask him to get down :) He loves treats and has mastered the mournful look at the dinner table... no we don’t give in.... but it is sooo hard! Love and a forever home is what this boy deserves. Perhaps you could add the next verse to his life!
