The biggest park is Pildammsparken (the Willow Pond Park), a classic park that is one of its kind in northern Europe. Over 10.000 flowers are planted in the "flower-alley" every year. Stroll along fantastic gardens and watch the exotic birds. The park originates from the Baltic exhibition in 1914. Today, families go to the park to feed the ducks and geese, play at the playground, or just to enjoy the fantastic sights which could be taken from a romantic movie! Theatre has been played here in the park every night during the summer ever since 1914. And it´s very popular to go here with your picnic and then stay to watch some musicevent or a play.

Right now it would be around at 22h - the day is the longest around midsummer 21 of June. Then we have daylight for 17h 30min here in the south of Sweden. In the north the sun never sets at that time... Think that´s why I love the light so much!

Neat shot and enjoyed your caption. For me, I'd be strolling through the gardens and watching the birds and skipping the concert, but that's what makes us all different and makes life interesting. I love music, movies also, but don't like big crowds all huddled up together (unless it's a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game). Ha! Anyway, it's a great shot!

How fun! It's beautiful too. And it looks SO much like a little ampitheatre in a nearby park here in Minnesota. Historians say that our state was built to resemble Sweden as so many people here came from Scandinavia, including my Swedish relatives. So I guess it's no wonder that your photos appear so familiar to me! ~Sue
