Variety: Field-bred Kierra and her sister(litter mate)Princess were taken into rescue as owner relinquishments due to their owners moving which would not allow for them to go along.ENOUGH SAID ! They had been neglected but not abused. They were loaded with fleas and extremely dirty.Fortunately they had both been clipped down so there was no matting to contend with. Both were dirt yard dogs that rarely came into the house. Kierra had recently given birth to a litter of 6 Sprochers(Sringer/Cocker mix)puppies.4 were given away and 2 went to Cocker rescue in San Diego.Both dogs and pups are in good health. We are in the process of housetraining both her and Princess and it is progressing well.Piddles during the day still occur but both sleep thru the night without accidents. They were afraid of everything including ceiling fans,digital clocks,lawn ornaments and mirrors just to mention a few.Slowly they are blossoming into wonderful loving Springers. Kierra has all the attributes of a fieldie for sure and is a cat chaser ,bird spotter and butterfly bandit.Inside our home she is very calm loving and extremely needy for affection.In fact she craves it like no other foster we've had and is surely deserving of all we can give her. She had bonded in the few days we've had her. The only bad side of this is she doesn't want to share affection with the resident dogs while in the house.She does growl at them on occasion. Outside she is fine. There is NO aggression toward people at all. For this rerason I think she should be an only dog or be adopted with her sister Princess. She did not know any commands but we're working on that aspect of her rehibilation.Adopters should consider enrollment in obedience training in order for her to achieve her full potential. A home with no cats for this little girl !
