In the weeks Duke has been patiently waiting for a home, we have learned many things about him....all which make him a wonderful and loving companion! Duke is very laid back and is happiest just lying on the back porch while you gaze at the sunset or hanging out on the nearest doggie bed while you watch TV or work on your computer. Although he is a big boy, he is truly a gentle giant. There is not a mean or aggressive bone in his body. Duke gets along with other dogs, and is completely submissive. He will even walk away when the alpha male of the home occasionally tries to challenge him. He does not beg for food, counter surf, or jump on the furniture. His biggest *fault* is that he drools a bit after a cool drink! He loves nothing more than a chin wipe with a towel we keep handy on the patio. So, if you are looking for a jogging partner or a dog to do agility, Duke is not your boy.
