Winston is in rescue because his owner lost her job and her home, and is moving to find work. She is very sad to part with him and Winston definitely misses her. This is what rescue is all about, helping dogs and people in unfortunate situations. Winston is easy to love and get along with. He loves people and will follow you around everywhere. He gets along well with dogs and cats. He is not recommended for young children as he isn't gentle taking treats. Winston is precious, according to his foster mom, and as sweet as you can imagine. When the weather was nice, Winston stayed outside when his owner was at work. Otherwise he stayed in the kitchen. Winston does OK by himself, but he'd be happiest in a home where he could be with someone a lot. He has really attached himself to his foster mom. He likes to ride in the car and go to the groomer. Winston is in good health, much more so than many dogs his age. He has some arthritis, which is managed, and he has lost a lot of his hearing, but he gets along well. We are really sad for Winston. He is missing his mom and is grieving right now. At 12, he has a few good years left and we want them to be in a loving home. He is a loyal companion with unlimited love to give and needs someone to give it back to him.
