This is Glen Sather's 52nd career goal, his second of the 1973-74 season, scored November 3, 1973 at the Great Western Forum, assited by Gary Unger (3rd of season, 159th of career) and Nick Harbaruk (2nd of season, 62nd of career), an EV goal scored against the Los Angeles Kings Rogie Vachon at 12:56 of the 2nd period, making the interm score Blues 2 LA Kings 2, final score Blues 4 LA Kings 3. Glen Sather suited up for the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, St.Louis Blues, Montreal Canadians and Minnasota North Stars, appearing 658 games, scoring 80g 113a 193 pts and 724 PIMs as well as playing in the WHA's Edmonton Oilers for 81 games scoring 19a 34a 53 pts and 77 PIM's, but is better known for his excutive skills, he was the most successful hockey executive of the 1980s as Edmonton Oilers coach and general manager when the team won the Stanley Cup an unbelievable five times between 1984 and 1990 and has the best winning percentage in the playoffs of any coach in the history of the game. He won the Jack Adams award as top coach in 1985-86 and was inducted into the HHOF as a builder in 1997.
