I am pretty good on leash, and excellent off leash. I learned the doggy door in no time, and am completely house trained. I only chew on my toys. I don't counter surf, but my foster mom says that may be because I'm not tall enough! I am overweight, but my foster mom is working on helping me to lose a few pounds. I am a joyful Springer who has a zest for life, despite some hard times before Becky picked me up from Pueblo Animal Services. My previous family did not get veterinary care for my infected foot, so I have to have two of my toes amputated. I don't expect that will keep my down for long! My foster mom says: Cosmo is an incredibly happy dog who never stops waggling. His affection goes beyond humans to dogs. Plus that, as the vet said - He smiles nonstop. Update: 7/29/07: My name is Cosmo and if I do say so myself, I'm a beautiful, polite ESS with a wonderful temperament. I am always happy, especially out in a field or on walks. I know all my basic commands, will listen off lead, and once I know what's expected of me, I get along with ALL animals (livestock, chickens, cats, rabbits, other dogs, etc). I really do love everyone, especially if they go outside with me. Indoors my manners are impeccable and I can be trusted anywhere. Losing two toes to cancer has not dimmed my outlook in the least. I'm just looking for a person or family with time and love to give.
