Album Info:

New seal runs all the way to the bottom of the channel, the originals didn’t and allowed water entry when towing in the rain. Added an additional short seal to the right to try and makeup for the short hinge seal, but it doesn’t really work. Note the water sitting in the bottom corner? That occurred during an overnight rain, while the trailer was closed up. Not a very impressive design. This is the way the Roo's & Shamrock's are designed and manufactured. If the side seals were to run all the way to the bottom of the channel, and if the seal behind the hinge were to run the full length form side to side, maybe, just maybe water driven into this area when towing in the rain won't get inside the camper. Water collects in this area with the camper just sitting closed up in the rain. It builds up in this area till it spills over the edge of the hinge channel and down the front of the camper. Just my opinion, but I think it's poor design.

  • I debated adding a flap on top of the hinge to stop water from entering, maybe I'll do both.
