Used chemical stripper and an 80 grit DA to clean the rust and paint down to bare metal. Squirted on some rattlecan primer to keep the surface rust under control. There had to be 35 holes in the firewall....adds to the "ugly"...going to rethink this configuration.....there must be a better way to clean up this mess.
