Age: 3 yrs Gender: Neutered Male Color: Liver and White Weight: 40 lbs Variety: Field Bred Jerry is an all-around lovable and loving guy, with the best happy and engaging Springer personality. This is pretty amazing since was picked up as a stray, thin and bedraggled. He was cleaned, clipped, and fed good food. Now he's gaining weight and growing back a healthy coat. The vet who first saw him when he looked pretty bad thought he was maybe four years old, but his foster now thinks he is younger and another vet agrees. Jerry loves everybody and learns very quickly. He's house and crate trained, happy with cats and other dogs (the resident Springer at his foster home at first tried to be grumpy at having his space invaded, but Jerry was just too friendly for that to last). Jerry soon learned not get on furniture, understands no, and wants very much to please. He is clearly a smart guy. He's full of healthy energy and is past the puppy stage. Jerry has not been tried with children, but since he has been doing so well with everyone (both the two-legged and the four-legged variety) his fosters don’t anticipate any problem with anyone. He will probably thrive best if not left alone for long periods, he loves to stay close to people. Jerry has been neutered and is heartworm negative, He's ready to move into a loving forever home. This indomitable fellow has had a rough time and deserves to be well loved.
