Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011, Belfour, nicknamed "The Eagle" was undrafted and signed as a free agent by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1987. Suiting up with the Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers, over the course of 17 season he played in 963 games, posting 484 wins (good for 3rd place on the All Time list) 320 loses 111 ties 14 OTL 76 SO, 2.50 GAA and .906%. He was the winner of the 1991 Calder Memorial Trophy (Rookie of the Year), named to the 1991 All- Rookie Team, won the 1991 Trico Goaltender Award, won the William M. Jennings Trophy four times (1991, 1993, 1995 and in 1999 shared with Roman Turek), the Vezina Trophy twice (1991, 1993) , won the MBNA Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award (2000),was a two time NHL First All-Star Team (1991, 1993), one time NHL Second All-Star Team (1995) and played in five NHL All-Star Game (1992, 1993, 1996, 1998, 1999, in 2003 he missed due to injury). Internationally, Belfour was a member of Canada's 1992 Canada Cup, 2005 World Cup as well as the 2002 Olympic's, winning the Gold Medal.
