Tate has been in foster just a short while after being incarcerated in the North Country. No one seems to know what crime he committed, or what lead up to his being in the slammer, since he was brought in as a homeless guy. Since being in foster, his only crime has been doing a little chewing when left alone for too long without a chewie to keep him occupied. He needs some lessons in manners since he has that typical Springer exuberance for life, but he's a total sponge when soaking up love! We are working on the manners on a daily basis. He is good with other dogs, and passed his cat test yesterday with flying colors! He so wanted to play, but the cat just wouldn't cooperate, so Tate just finally gave up and went back to his chewie. He loves to fetch, and is very good at bringing it back. He will Sit for you to throw it again. He does still have a little of the puppy mouthing syndrome, but we're also working to curb that. It's not bad, it's like he realizes he's not allowed to do it, so stops just short and snaps his mouth closed. Tate is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and heartworm negative. This guy is so handsome! Everyone that sees him comments on how gorgeous he is. I think he has the heart to match. At only a year old he has many years of love to give someone!
