Album Info:

Age: 9 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 70 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Whoever adopts this loving boy is getting a great companion. Jack is a mellow, happy, attentive fellow who likes everyone. Sometimes he gets to go to work with his foster mom, and boy does he love to meet her co-workers! Every night he goes for a walk with his foster dad and resident dog. He plays with the other dog every day! Car rides are a favorite activity. He loves to play with his ball, too. Jack is so easy going and easy to be around. He loves to be around you, but is not overly clingy. He was great for the groomer and vet. He likes to sleep in the room with his foster parents, and loves to be off-leash when he is outside. He's pretty dependable! He is housetrained, and does not get into anything that he shouldn't. In fact, most days when the family is at work, Jack stays inside with the other dog. Jack came to us not knowing any commands, even Sit. But he is a good learner! He likes to please. Every once in awhile, Jack will hide behind the curtains when there is a new person over to the house. Then he comes out to say hello when he knows things are OK. We are grateful to the Seattle Animal Shelter for alerting us about Jack. He really needed medical care. Poor Jack was hurting in a number of places: bladder infection, abscessed tooth, ear infections, and an intestinal growth that was causing cramping. It was amazing that he was so sweet when he was in such pain, so cooperative with anyone examining him. Rescue took on the medical issues and we are happy to say that Jack feels a lot better now! Rescue got him a dental and the growth removed. His thyroid had stopped working as well with the intestinal problem, and Jack was chubby even though it was uncomfortable to eat. Now his thyroid levels are normal and he eats great. He won't need thyroid meds now. His ears, skin, bladder, etc. are all doing wonderfully, and he feels like a new dog. He's lost weight and is getting back to his attractive trim self. Jack's age was listed at 7, and the first vet who saw him agreed, but a second vet thought maybe as old as 10. We've put his age at 9. It's hard to tell, but as he has gotten better, he seems more on the younger side. Jack was in foster care for 1 month before being posted on the website. We wanted to get him healthy before posting him for adoption. Jack seems to be very grateful for his new life. He is so appreciative of the attention from the humans and dog in the household. He is very happy to have his medical issues addressed, and greets life with a big grin. He loves to snuggle, and has a great personality. He loves the couch and his dog bed! His foster mom thinks he is a treasure, and wants a terrific home for him. She'd like another dog for him to play with, and someone who will appreciate his kind and mellow personality. We'd like to see someone who understands Springer health issues, and will make sure that his ears are always checked, and his coat is kept nice. It was a shame to think of what condition he started out in when we got him, but very rewarding to see him now. Jack is a CHAMP.
