Album Info:
Age: 4 Gender: Neutered Male Color: Black and White Weight: 72 lbs Variety: Field-Bred Hi Everybody! My name is Jasper and everybody that meets me says that I am the sweetest boy. I have been in my foster home for a little while now and I sure love it here with plenty of food and lots of air conditioning from the AL heat and especially all of the love that my foster mom is giving me. I would like to find my forever home soon. I try to be such a good boy and unlike those silly puppies, I won't chew your furniture or shoes and I won't go potty in your house. My foster mom says that I am such a good boy and that I am always so happy. Why wouldn't a guy be happy? They say my only fault is that I might try to steal food off the counter but is so tempting since I didn't get regular meals before I came to live here. My foster mom has decided to make sure that she puts everything away off the counter. Darn! If you have plenty of love to give I promise to give it back. I hope to meet you soon! Jasper 6/04/07: Look at Jasper's new pictures! His coat is growing out and he looks so wonderful and handsome. He is thriving on all of the new love and attention. Jasper goes to work with his foster mom and helps greet patients. You can see how comfortable he is being held by a stranger. He accepts women quickly and also warms up to men after a short while. At home he has become quite confindent, he's no longer glued to his foster mom. If she stays up too late he goes to the bedroom by himself. He is very reliably housetrained and doesn't get into trouble at all. Japser is an all around gem of a dog. Jasper is a sweet well behaved boy, he isn't overly demanding. He just likes to have someone give him lots of love, some attention, and a moderate amount of play and exercise. Are you the special somebody that Jasper needs? 5/07/07: After being in foster care a little while, Jasper has proven to be a sweet active boy. He loves to race around the yard, chase the resident Springer and play fetch with his ball. He is a sweet puppy in a big boy's body. He is very good left alone in the house when his foster mom is at work. Jasper craves attention, petting, and playtime and is ready to be somebody's new best friend. 4/16/07: Jasper's owners moved away and left him behind with his only friend, a goat. They shared the food brought by the neighbors and took shelter from the cold together under the house. Fortunately the neighbors contacted ESRA and Jasper's luck has turned. He has just gotten settled into foster care where he is loving the regular meals, warm soft bed, people to love and a dog to play with. He doesn't let his past get him down and has shown himself to be a very friendly and smart boy. He is already housetrained, knows sit, stay, shake, and come. He is heartworm negative, on prevetative, and neutered. He is not extremely active but does enjoy a good game of fetch. He would be fine with post-toddler age children and he ignored the kitty he met. At 72 pounds he could stand to lose a few and likely will with good food and adequate play time. He is a very tall boy, however his full tail gives him a nice balanced physique. Like most rescues he is grateful for the second chance and just wants to share a new life with a wonderful loving family. Please submit an application to adopt if you think Jasper might fit into your family!
