So, now, I'm looking for a new Forever Home. I'm still a little shy around my foster brothers, especially the one who is a little cranky, but the other one seems to be a good guy. I had a bit of a upset stomach the first couple of days, but I'm feeling much better now. I'm crate trained, housetrained, and I hardly bark at all. I like my new foster mom. She and I hit it off almost immediately. I spent a lot of time alone in my other home, so I'm pretty independent. My foster mom said she doesn't think I'll be a Velcro dog like my other adopted brothers. I think that's a good thing. I'm working on learning my foster mom's rules, but she said I'm learning pretty quickly. I need some work on my manners. I want to grab treats, and am a little protective of my food right now, but I'm still learning to trust my foster mom and my foster dog brothers. My foster mom says I have a lot of potential (whatever that means), and I think I'm picking things up quickly. If you'd like a sweet girl to share your home, think about me, okay? Oh yeah, I like that song K-K-K-Katie. My foster mom sings it, and it makes my tail wag. Update 16 JAN 08: Katie is learning Sit, Stay, and Down, to be gentle when taking treats, and to wait at the door to be released to go out. She knows the boundaries for the kitchen, where she is not allowed. She hasn't jumped on the furniture, and hasn't chewed anything of consequence (dog toys don't last long). She's becoming more socialized to her foster mom and the other Springers in the house. She'll make an excellent addition to someone's home.
