Age: Adult Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 45 lbs Variety: Bench/Show-Bred Thurman was found as a stray; starved and flea-infested, with callouses and muscle wasting of his hindquarters suggesting that he had been tied to a concrete or paved area for a considerable time. But that's all in this boys past! He has blossomed into a lively, gentle, loving, velcro, person pleaser! He was originally thought to be around 8 years old, but as he has put on weight and built up his strength, he acts as though he is very young. He has even beat his foster brother (a Britt of 2 years old) in the twirling dinner dance! He does not sleep on the bed, preferring his dog bed, but he has the coldest nose for the morning wake up call! Thurman loves to romp outside and walks well on a leash, but he must have a fenced in yard. He tolerates grooming well (and although he doesn't like to have his ears cleaned, he will put up with it). Thurman gets along excellently with other dogs (with absolutely no dominance problems), and is friendly with even small children and cats as well, from what we have observed. He is also housetrained, obedience trained, has wonderful house manners (with the exception of being a bit of a counter-surfer), and is a joy to be around - the family who adopts him will be lucky, indeed! He is ready for his new forever family to find him and to have his own dream-home come true.
