Senario: We are trapped on a side of a building. An earthquake has just happend and has left us to cross over a chasim (big empty gap in the ground) to get to safty. We only have one pail of water to survive on. Here is the catch, we can't talk for the sake of any vibrations that may cause further damage to the building not to make it calapse.
