Album Info:
Age: 5 years Gender: Male Color: Black/White Weight: 45 lbs. Variety: Field-Bred This is Barkley, he is a 5 year old beautiful black and white Springer. Barkley is very sweet and very gentle. He wants nothing more than a soft bed and some attention. Barkley was picked up from a local shelter here in Ohio with his sister Hazel, an equally sweet liver and white female, and also in foster care. Barkley is the perfect gentleman in the house, never having an accident, chewing, or barking. He is good on the leash, not pulling, and does not need to be crated when someone leaves the house. He just waits patiently for the return of his humans. Barkley is currently being fostered with four other dogs, ranging from six years to eight weeks. He tolerates them all well, and doesn't even mind the cats. Barkley is also being fostered with two human children. One is seven years, and the other is 22 months. Barkley is gentle enough for both of them, never showing any issues with even the hardest “pets” (toddlers can be quite rough). Barkley currently sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom of the seven- year-old, and loves it. Barkley is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and is parasite free. He will need to be neutered before his adoption, and that will be done as soon as possible. Barkley also suffers from a medical issue, nothing to be alarmed over, but he is blind. Don't think this stops him in anyway, however! Barkley uses his other senses to make up for this shortcoming. He can hear everything around him. When a person or dog comes close, he can tell, and will find out quickly who or what it is. He uses his paws almost like a cane, and will gently walk when in unfamiliar territories. We truly hope this does not prevent people from considering Barkley, as he is one of the sweetest, most beautiful Springers I have seen in a very long time.
