Age: 2 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 40 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Hi! My name is Hunter and I've got my nose to the ground hunting out a new forever home. I sure would like to be part of a family where I will be loved, cuddled and included in all the fun stuff families do. I was found tied to a fence near an abandoned house and taken to the local shelter. Thank goodness they contacted ESRA and I am now enjoying the good life at my foster home. I run and play with the resident dogs, am learning how to play ball (I love it) and, most importantly, I get lots and lots of cuddles, belly rubs and lots of good food (I'm pretty skinny right now and have a huge appetite)! I have only been here about a week and am learning to sit for my cuddles and treats instead of jumping on people. I am very smart and plan on mastering all my commands very quickly so I have good manners for my new family. Of course, I will still want to take a couple of obedience classes so my new family and I both know how I am supposed to act. As you can probably tell, I am just about perfect - for a young boy that is! Wouldn't you like to come meet me and give me some of those cuddles I crave? Foster Mom: Are you ready for a happy, young boy who would love to go for long walks with you, cuddle with you in front of the TV, or chase a ball for as long as you can throw it? If so, Hunter is the answer to your dreams. He is a loving, fun, and exuberant boy, who is very anxious to get a new family. Hunter enjoys playing with other dogs, but would do best as an only dog. He has a very high prey drive, and will not be placed in a home that has cats. Hunter is quickly learning his commands, but an obedience class will definitely be in order for him and his new family. This not only increases bonding, but also lets Hunter know what is expected of him. Hunter is a very quick and willing learner, and it won't take him very long to learn the routine and rules of his new home. Hunter is a healthy, happy boy, who is up to date on his shots, has been neutered and microchipped. Anyone interested in adopting Hunter must realize that in order for him to become a wonderful Forever Friend, it is absolutely necessary to include him in all phases of your family's life. Hunter will enjoy any and all activities as long as his family is near him. If you have the time to devote to training, and room in your heart and family for a loving, adorable Springer, please have an approved application on file and be prepared to fall in love.
