Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 9th round, 171st overall in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, Robitalle took little time proving he belonged in the NHL, being named to the 1987 All Rookie Team, as well as being voted to the 2nd All Star Team, "Lucky" also won the 1987 Calder Memorial Trophy (Rookie of the Year). Voted to the First All Star Team five times (1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1993) and to the Second All Star Team three times (1987, 1992, 2001), he played in a total of 8 All Star Games (1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1999 and 2001). Inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 2009, Robitalle ranks among the NHL's All-Time leaders in every offensive catogory. Suiting up with the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings, he played in 1431 games (23rd NHL All-Time), scoring 668 goals (10th NHL All-Time), 726 assist (45th NHL All-Time), 1394 points (20th NHL All-Time, 0.97 PPG) +72 and 1177 PIM's. Internatinaly, he has represented Canada at the World Junior Championships (1986), the Canada's Cup (1992) and the World Championships (1994).
