Age: 6 years Gender: Male Color: Black/White Weight: 60 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Boomer, also known as the Kaboomer, is a character! His foster mom likes telling people how smart he is. He can shake with both paws and he learns the house rules fast. He can't get enough petting. He was a bit nervous when he first came into foster care, but decided that getting love was awesome! When we took him to the vet, he wasn't used to it. He would probably love the handling now. He loves hugs and kisses from everyone. Boomer is fairly healthy coming into rescue, with just an ear infection to treat. He is neutered, and up to date on everything. He is good with most other dogs, and would do fine with a laid-back canine companion, or as the only dog. He would love to have all the attention if possible. He'd do best without a cat, although he's learned quickly not to mess with the resident cat. He is good with older children, but reportedly not with toddlers. We are not sure what the real story is, as his family was eager to dump him, and said he had growled at the toddler. Another volunteer saw no problems around her young children. So at this point we would say no young children until we were able to test him thoroughly. Boomer is eager to please, and is a fun guy with a sparkle in his eye.
